With ten years of experience, the firm organizes several auctions each year in collaboration with the Drouot auction house, where Maître Gillieron has been officiating for four years. These "Live" auctions broadcast on the internet are accessible to bidders worldwide, who are notified when items of interest to them are presented thanks to keyword indexing. Maître Gillieron organizes general, specialized, and single-collection sales.It is also possible to hold "on-site" auctions at your home for the sale of an entire collection or significant house contents. Thanks to the Drouot.com tool, the international reach will be identical to that of a traditional auction room.
Bulky lots can be sold by "designation". These goods are auctioned live from the sale room (at the firm or at Drouot), but remain at your home until collected by the winning bidders.
The different steps to offer an item at public auction:
- Schedule a complimentary and confidential appraisal appointment during which an estimated range, the terms of sale, and the date of an upcoming auction will be communicated to you;
- Sign a consignment agreement in which the auction house commits to representing your interests;
- The item is stored free of charge, cataloged, photographed, and then presented during a public exhibition at the firm, at Drouot, or at your home;
- The lot is offered at auction. If it finds a buyer, payment will be made within two months following the sale, upon receipt of full payment from the purchaser. If it does not find a buyer, it will be offered a second time at auction or returned to you free of charge.
PARTNERSHIPS & BUSINESS FINDERS: Maître Gillieron is open to all proposed collaboration projects. Brands, real estate agents, hotel establishments, brokers, advisors: partners and business finders are contractually remunerated based on the scope of their contribution and involvement.
