NOTICE
Mett Hoffmann studied at the Ecole des Artisans in Luxembourg, after attending the Beaux-Arts and Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, Vienna and Düsseldorf. He was a member of several artistic communities, including the Institut Grand-Ducal and Iconaques Luxembourg, and sat on Unesco's National Committee for the Plastic Arts.
Trying his hand at working with glass, he was commissioned to create cast-glass decorative panels for public buildings. He has also created stained glass artworks, notably for the Château de Wiltz and the Eglise St-Michel in Luxembourg. His talent was recognized with a silver medal at the 2nd Sao Paolo Biennial in 1956. Today, Mett Hoffmann's work can be seen at the Musée National d'Histoire et d'Art in Luxembourg and in the museums of Trier and Sarreguemines.
