Establishing his studio in Honfleur, he worked alongside such talented artists as André Hambourg and Fernand Herbo. Famous for his landscapes of Normandy, he depicted Deauville, Trouville and Honfleur in particular, with cheerful, summery family scenes. Equally active in Paris, he immortalized urban scenes that captured the atmosphere of the Belle Époque.
