Edouard CAZAUX (1889-1974), attributed to Coupe aux maternités, circa 1940 Glazed stoneware Unsigned Height : 9,5 cm Diameter: 13.5 cm (Restoration to the neck) NOTICE Édouard Cazaux was a French sculptor and ceramist, trained at the Beaux-Arts de Paris and the École de Sèvres. From the 1920s, he exhibited at the Salons des artistes décorateurs, d'automne and des Tuileries. A collaborator of the Degué crystal works, he took part in the 1925 Exposition des Arts Décoratifs, winning a gold medal in 1937 for his fountain Les Jeux de la Mer. Today, his work can be found in several French museums, including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Musée des Beaux Arts in Bordeaux.
