NOTICE Ernst Moeckl was a German designer active mainly in the 1970s, associated with experimental and industrial design in the second half of the 20th century, whose most emblematic creation is the z.stuhl, also nicknamed the "kangaroo chair", "Z chair" or "crouching man". Designed in molded polyurethane with a hand-applied lacquered surface, this cantilever chair features a one-piece structure without rear legs, where seat and back form a continuous unit with angular, geometric lines. Originally published in the 1970s for the Horn Collection für lebendiges Wohnen, it is produced in bright or neutral colors (orange, black, brown, light gray) and is characterized by its water resistance, frequent outdoor use and stacking capacity. Considered a design classic, it is often compared to Verner Panton's Panton Chair. Since 2020, the model has once again been produced by a family firm in Chemnitz.
