A certificate of authenticity and inclusion in the catalog raisonné are available on request, at the expense of the new purchaser. PROVENANCE Private collection of Michel Crochot, French stage director. Michel Crochot attended the solo exhibition devoted to Alain Jacquet at Galerie M.E. Thelen, Essen, Germany in 1966 (the original invitation received by Michel Crochot will be given to the buyer). This work is reproduced in Alain Jacquet's digital archives, section TRAMES / MEC ART 1964-2011. BIBLIOGRAPHY A work from the same series was sold at Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris, auction "Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours : 1912 - 2013" June 7, 2023, lot 84. NOTICE This work is based on the famous Venus at her Mirror by Diego Velázquez (1599-1660).
